hoping to have a great crowd so be sure to get your registration and reservations made early - don't get left behind. The

Don't forget about our Ad Sales and Membership Drive - if we get $10,000 in ads, President Mullis will be
donning a mini-skirt and fishnets at the dance, $20,000 will get Director Stan Cooper into the dunking booth (and if that
happens, we will also have some more chances to dunk some more management into the drink), $30,000 will get Assistant Commissioner
Tim Ward into the dunking booth and if we get $40,000 and 500 members we will (hopefully) get the Commissioner or his designee
into the booth.

Return to Jekyll", there will be a costume contest so channel your best Jack Sparrow.

- The Conference will kick off at 8:30 a.m., details are still in the works but we promise it will be an exciting and fun
conference. Thursday Night for social hour and dinner will be a Tailgate Party so pull out your Tailgate Gear and show
your colors for your teams. If you have any tailgate games bring them with you.
On Friday, August 24, 2012
- the Conference will conclude with a special speaker and awards given. Attached are the forms needed to nominate for
the Impact Award and Lee Broome Award; and forms to apply for the Joe Williams Scholarship and the Spouse/Child Scholarship.
Please make sure you have them in the mail by the deadlines for each one.
GEORGIA SHERIFF YOUTH HOMES
We are once again challenging you to help us help the GEORGIA SHERIFF YOUTH HOMES! For summer conference
we will be collectring Laundry Detergent (Powder or Liquid) and Dishwashing Detergent (not dishwasher, they don't have
one) .
Our goal is to collect 1000 containers
of Laundry Detergent and 1000 Bottles of Dishwashing Detergent. We hope to have to go and rent a U-Haul
to get it back to the Youth Homes! Of course, monetary donations are always welcome - make checks payable
to the Georgia Sheriff Youth Homes (it is tax deductible) - so we will have a goal of $1000 (just to keep things balanced).
RESOURCES
This was sent out on Groupwise within the Department of Corrections but I thought it would be good to put here
on our website. It is the website that the DEA has Resource for Drug Information/Research - www.justice.gov/dea/concern/concern.htm
It helps to identify drugs and more information.
Hope you find it interesting.
